2017 PG Top Prospect Games at TCU
Brendon Davis is a 2018 1B/C, 3B, OF with a 6-1 225 lb. frame from Laurel, MD who attends Georgetown Preparatory. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and a strong, mature build with physical strength proportioned throughout. Primary first baseman, hands play well and pick balls in the dirt well, fields the ball out front, full arm action through the back and gets on top of throws well, take short steps coming off the bag, stays low moving to and through the ball. accurate throws across diamond. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Utilizes a toe tap trigger and does a nice job of staying short and simple through the ball with mechanics. Direct path with quickness to hands, gets upper body dominant at times with swing but strength to hands helps impact the ball in a loud way. Showed ability to make adjustment mid at-bat in live action, ball jumps off the barrel to pull side with present bat speed and lift at point of contact. Named to PG Top Prospect Games Top Prospect List. Good student.
