Marlowe Iorio is a 2020 RHP/OF with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Chapel Hill, NC who attends Chapel Hill HS. Recorded a 7.10 second 60-yard dash time. Good size on the frame with a lean, wiry frame and tons of room to fill out. Athleticism shines throughout. Primary outfielder with an over the top arm angle and a longer arm action. Accurate throws with deliberate actions. Reads hops well. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a short rocker step and a high leg lift. Gathers well at the balance point and strides well down the mound. Carries weight down the mound well and throws from a tighter high three-quarter arm slot. Creates good downhill plane on the fastball in the bottom of the strike zone. Curveball with 10/4 shape and sweeping action. Generates good sink and fade on the changeup when low in the zone. Repeatable delivery and fills up the strike zone. Mixes pitches well and keeps hitters off balanced. Lefthanded hitter with a wide base. High hand set and high back elbow with a longer swing. Flashes the ability to turn the barrel over to the pull side when extended. Made proper adjustments throughout and has a direct path ton contact and stayed on plane well. Great student.
