Alex Diamantis is a 2018 OF/MIF, 3B with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Staten Island, NY who attends St. Peter's Boys. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 6.92 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, quick feet and good energy moving to and through the ball, shows fluidity to actions and repeats well, fields out front, full and loose arm action with extension out front, gets on top of ball and shows both carry and arm strength on throws, clean glove work. Righthanded hitter, begins with a spread and slightly open stance, high hand set at the plate. Short weight transfer through lower half, simple and repeats well while staying balanced. Nice feel for the barrel, squared up live pitching consistently. Works line-to-line, linear path and turns the barrel well. Nice tools and projects with additional physical strength. Named to Sunshine Northeast Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
