Rasesh Pandya is a 2016 RHP/OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Greenville, SC who attends Mauldin HS. Lean, athletic build with some looseness. Primary right handed pitcher, easy well-paced delivery with slight hip turn and coil. Loose, easy arm stroke to a 3/4 arm slot, works downhill and able to get over frontside pretty well with solid extension. Repeated mechanics well, at times lost rhythm with lower half and over-rotated, but displayed feel and ability to adjust. Fastball consistently in mid 80's, peaked at 86. Pitch has natural cutting life, is effective when not overthrown, presents difficult look for opposing hitters. Mixed in a solid mid-70s curveball with good spin from 11/5 break, flashed ability to command the pitch down in the zone. Also mixed in a rare changeup with slight fade. Arm played well in outfield with accurate, strong throws. Right handed hitter, starts with high hands, back elbow. Effort in swing, solid bat speed and strength with some feel for the barrel. Hitting tools to work with. Named to Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
