Nick Wilkins is a 2018 MIF/OF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Carlsbad, CA who attends La Costa Canyon HS. Wilkins has a lean athletic build with room to fill out. Hits from an upright slightly open stance. Uses leg lift trigger to start line drive plane swing. Has good hand quickness and strength. Ball would jump when timing was on, has tools to develop at the plate. Defensively, primary MIF, arm works well, circled the ball well with solid foot work, arm strength continues to develop. From the OF, moves well to ball with a hard charge, arm works well with online accurate throws. Excellent Student.
