Gage Franck is a 2021 OF/2B with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Marion, IA who attends Marion. Medium, athletic frame with wiry strength. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary outfielder with smooth paced footwork while closing to the baseball. Funnels baseball off to side and worked through exchange efficiently. Maintained momentum towards the bag with a crow hop and released from a three-quarters slot. Throws generated on line carry to the bag topping at 75 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, slightly open stance and simple leg lift trigger. Worked to contact with rotational lower half actions. Clean, direct hand path to baseball with a line drive barrel plane. Displayed good feel for the barrel while employing a mid field approach. Consistently produced sharp contact off the barrel between the gaps. Very good student as well.
