Matthew Rivers is a 2017 MIF/C with a 6-0 208 lb. frame from Brunswick, GA who attends Glynn Academy. Big and strong athletic build. 6.86 runner, shows athleticism in the infield and behind the plate defensively, has a quick exchange both places with playable arm strength, can throw from multiple arm slots and arm works better from the lower slots. Right handed hitter, big leg lift load, has a complicated timer and will occasionally be late getting his foot down, aggressive swing with an early front side, lots going on in his swing that can be toned down, shows good bat speed and the ability to make hard impact when timed up. Good athlete who should keep improving.
