Harry Azadian is a 2019 RHP/1B with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Westport, CT who attends Staples. Large frame with broad shoulders and present strength. Primary right handed pitcher with a simple side step to high leg lift delivery. Sinks into back side at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Clean arm circle at take back and released from a high three-quarters arm slot. Hides baseball well at take back. Fastball generated solid downhill tilt through the zone with occasional run in the upper 70's to low 80's, topped at 83 miles per hour. Displayed good feel for fastball offering with the ability to work to both edges of the plate. Curveball showed 11/5 shape with tighter spin and solid depth in the upper 60's. Tends to slow arm speeds slightly with a changeup that flashed some sink in the mid 70's. Consistently attacked the strike zone and effective changed speeds throughout each inning of work. Also worked out defensively from first base showing soft hands while funneling the baseball with clean exchanges. Flashed good range with sound footwork around the bag. Throws produced accurate carry to the bag topping at 75 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and reaching front side trigger. Works to contact with aggressive lower half actions. Deep hand load and worked to contact on a loose, extended path. Swung with intent while employing a naturally lifted barrel plane through extension. Generated tight backspin with good carry to each gap when on time and squared. Very good student as well.
