Jason S. Parker is a 2018 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-3 230 lb. frame from Lumberton, TX who attends Lumberton HS. Large frame with broad shoulders, stocky build, some room to get stronger, refine body composition as he continues to mature. Primary left handed pitcher, high leg raise delivery with good line and direction to the plate. Full, extended arm-action. Fastball up to 75 mph, shows short armside run and throws pitch for strikes. Flashed feel for two distinct breaking balls, a curveball with sweeping 2/8 action and a harder slider with more definition and tilt. Attacked strike zone and worked quickly, pitching to contact well. Also worked out at first base, gets on top of the ball and had accurate throws across the diamond, also showed soft hands. Right handed hitter, high back elbow set with small leg lift trigger. Brings hands inside baseball, upper-half style rotational swing, shows strength off of the barrel, can drive the ball to the pullside when on time with leg lift. Excellent student.
