Kevin Billups is a 2017 OF with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from San Antonio, TX who attends Churchill HS. Billups has a medium sized frame with a strong athletic build. He throws with a long arm action with arm strength up to 81 MPH from the outfield. Billups stops to field the baseball and showed developing outfield actions. He showed athleticism and quick feet to the baseball and can use that to his advantage with a few adjustments to play through the baseball better. At the plate, Billups starts with an open stance and a high back elbow. He uses a small rock back load to start his swing and has some bat wrap at load. Billups has quick hands to the baseball and made consistent line drive contact. He showed good barrel skills squaring the ball up and has a high average approach. There's more strength in his swing that will come with a few adjustments. Excellent student.
