Jake Briscoe is a 2017 SS/RHP, 3B, OF with a 6-0 145 lb. frame from Tempe, AZ who attends Corona Del Sol. Briscoe has a medium sized frame with a lean projectable body. Defensively he has solid infield actions with good hands. Briscoe has clean transfers with an overhand release with velocity up to 78 MPH across the infield. In the games portion of the showcase he made a tough play by 3B on a chopper and showed athleticism and balance on it. At the plate, he starts with a pre-loaded stance and has some bat waggle pre swing. Briscoe has some length to his swing with some bat speed. He made spray contact in BP and projects for more bat speed with more rhythm to his swing. Briscoe pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action. He has a quick paced delivery with some downhill plane to the plate. Excellent student.
