Zach Richardson is a 2016 RHP/OF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Mooresville, NC who attends Mooresville HS. Slender young athletic build, lots of room to get stronger. Full arm circle with a long loose arm action, mid to low 3/4's arm slot, throws cross body with a whippy release, has some energy at release and will spin off at times. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, lots of late running and sinking life. Nice change up with arm speed and similar running life. Tight spin on an 11/5 curveball that he gets over well from his lower release point. Works quickly and comes at hitters aggressively with three quality pitches. Should continue to improve with additional strength and physical maturity. 7.33 runner, showed good athleticism and a strong, accurate arm in the outfield. Right handed hitter, swings hard and has quick hands, will get long at times trying to be aggressive. Good student. Named to the Southeast Underclass Showcase Top Prospect Team.
