Avery Brock is a 2017 C/ with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Fairhope, AL who attends Fairhope High School. Large frame, lean, slender build, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 7.35 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, showed good arm strength, longer transfer, and showed accuracy to the bag. Posted a workout pop time of 2.08. At the plate, started with a narrow base, open stance, high hand set, and a large leg lift timing mechanism. Worked all fields and flashed leverage through lower half. Mistimed occasionally due to hand load, a simplified approach would lead to more consistencies in timing. Showed a quick hand bat when on time with ability to drive the ball. Exceptional student.
