Connor Gurt is a 2016 OF/RHP with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Hershey, PA who attends Hershey. Medium, athletic frame with a lean and projectable build with room to fill out with additional strength. Solid runner, posted a 6.87 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, shows a full arm action with some hook in back, ball comes out well, shows strength and accuracy on throws with extension out front. Also pitched, throws from a high three-quarter arm slot with a high leg lift at start of delivery. Arm comes through the backside well, topped out at 83 mph with fastball, showed nice running life and attacked hitters with fastball. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a high back elbow. Small leg lift trigger at beginning of swing, line drive swing plane, transfers weight on time and shift into contact well. Creates extension out front with contact to the middle and pull side parts of the field, has an approach in the box. Keeps hands in and showed ability to go with the pitch. Very good student.
