Ben Longacre is a 2016 OF/1B with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Barto, PA who attends Boyertown Area. Large, athletic build with a long and strong build, high waist with broad shoulders and room to fill out with additional strength. Good runner, posted a 6.96 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well to the ball and works through it, tall at release on occasional, shows strength on throws with accuracy and gets on top of ball well. Quick transfer at first base, lower slot with strength and accuracy across. Right-handed hitter, starts with a high hand set and slightly open stance. Uses a high leg lift trigger at start of swing, short path to the ball, keeps hands in during swing and shows a pull side approach. Upper body swing, shows ability to go with outside pitch to the opposite field. Excellent student.
