Lucca Limeira is a 2022 C/MIF, OF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Cranford, NJ who attends Cranford. Recorded a 5.12 second 40-yd dash time. Medium frame with plenty of room to fill out and add strength. Primary catcher with a segmented catch-and-throw skill set. Low, square set to start, with an elongated two-hand receiving position and quick release. Shows ability to gain ground towards target, while repeating footwork well. Recorded accurate throws up to 77 mph in drills with short arm action. Secondary outfielder with quick break down into fielding position and online momentum through release. Present arm strength is evident with throws recorded up to 83 mph in drills. Right-handed hitter with a staggered, crouched stance and hover trigger. Pull-side approach, using a downhill swing plane to create low-liner impact with some barrel accuracy. Consistent bat-to-ball skills with projection that will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and added strength. Good Student.
