Dillon Bland is a 2019 3B/SS, RHP with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from Glendale, KY who attends Central Hardin. Large frame with long, lanky build; extremely projectable body overall moving forward. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.66 seconds. Sets up to hit from upright, slightly open stance; coils into load with leg lift, uncoils well with hip torque and intent. Line drive swing plane, turns barrel well and gets a bit rotational at times. Jumped the ball on a line with consistency, projects well with the bat. Worked out defensively in the infield, shows good range to both sides with quality footwork, surrounds the ball and shows easy actions throughout. Fields cleanly, has fluidity, strong arm across up to 84 MPH. Pitched as well, collapses on backside and drives towards the plate with authority, Fastball worked 78-80 MPH with solid sinking life down in the zone, generates a lot of ground balls due to life on fastball. Curveball worked in the mid-60's with 11/5 shape and solid depth. Showed well in every facet of the event. Named to 2016 Ohio Valley Showcase Top Prospect List. Very good student.
