Ryan Stansbury is a 2018 RHP/2B with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Hammonton, NJ who attends St. Joseph. Medium frame with athletic present build; good projection remaining. Ran 40 yard dash in 5.75 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, side step into delivery, coils a bit at balance point, gets downhill well with shorter, online stride. Gets to three quarters arm slot, fastball worked 71-74 MPH with short arm side life. Showed curveball with 11/5 shape and some depth, flashed cutter in mid 60's with good glove side run, also showed changeup with moderate fading life. Did a good job throwing strikes. Sets up to hit from slightly open stance with narrow base, bars hands into load, shows quick hands on compact path with solid bat speed, gets on line drive plane and shows solid jump off the barrel when squared up. Worked out defensively in the infield, fields with wide base and balanced footwork, fields out front and gets into crow hop efficiently, showed good accuracy across the diamond, clocked up to 76 MPH. Very good student.
