Joseph Ricci is a 2020 OF with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Oyster Bay, NY who attends Chaminade. Medium, square shouldered frame with some present strength to build, additional room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.94 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball out front and works into a longer arm action in the back, clean transfer and works on top of throws well, short stride through release, can continue to incorporate additional lower half into release, stays online through release and shows carry, arm strength will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with a hand set pulled back at start of swing with a narrow base; limited shift through lower half moving into contact. Long swing path through the zone, consistent contact with the barrel and shows the ability to work to both gaps. Simple mechanics, contact oriented approach and projects with additional lower half. Excellent student.
