Will McGuire is a 2020 1B/3B with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Flower Mound, TX who attends Marcus. Large from with broad shoulders and a strong build. Primary first baseman with solid footwork while moving to a centering the baseball. Funnels the baseball cleanly and works through transition with developing fluidity. Topped at 78 miles per hour while throwing across the infield showing accurate, on line carry. Right handed hitter with a slightly open stance and leg lift trigger. Swung with intent while employing a naturally lifted barrel plane. Displayed good strength at contact with the jump off the barrel to drive the baseball to all parts of the field with ease. Tools will continue to develop with maturity and repetition. Good student as well.
