Gavin Haimovitz is a 2018 OF/C, RHP with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Solvang, CA who attends Dunn. Haimovitz has a smaller frame with some strength. Defensively he showed quick feet in the outfield and showed some athleticism in his actions. Haimovitz throws with a shorter arm action and showed good arm strength up to 88 MPH. He gets carry on his throws and attacked the ball well. He also showed some catch and throw skills behind the plate. At the plate, Haimovitz starts with a wide stance and has an arm bar with a big coil at load. He showed some bat speed and was aggressive to the baseball. He showed some pop and swings on a line drive plane. Haimovitz ptiches from multiple arm slots at both 3/4 and side arm. He throws a quality 12/6-11/5 curve ball at 66 MPH with some downer action to it. Excellent student.
