Jacob Terpstra is a 2015 LHP with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Allen, TX who attends Allen HS. Large, athletic frame with a high waist and long lean limbs, projectable build with room to fill out with added strength. Primary left-handed pitcher, throws from a low three-quarter arm slot with a full arm action coming through the back side, creates angle from first base. Easy and quick arm action, opens front hip early but stays on top of the baseball. Creates some deception, keeps fastball down and gets run to arm side on it from release, topping out at 81 mph. Strong feel for three-pitches and consistently mixed throughout outing. Short 1-7 break on curveball with depth that developed and shows sink and fade on changeup at 71 mph. Very good student.
