Trey Leonard is a 2017 OF/ with a 6-0 173 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends George Washington. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build and wiry strength. Frame projects to support additional size with strength. Ran a 6.39 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with smooth, deliberate footwork while closing to the baseball. Clean glove actions while working through the baseball with efficient exchanges. Long arm circle at separation and released from a three-quarters arm slot topping at 86 miles per hour. Throws produced accurate, uphill carry to the bag. Left handed hitter with a balanced, slightly open stance and high back elbow set. Stays balanced throughout with rotational lower half actions to contact. Barrel works to contact on an inside path with a level, line drive plane through extension. Primarily works between the gaps but flashed the bat speed and hand quickness to work to pull side as well. Good student. Committed to Louisville.
