Tate Hoffman is a 2016 1B with a 6-5 218 lb. frame from West Linn, OR who attends West Linn HS. Extra large build, very good present strength. Right handed hitter, straight stance, stays balanced well and has a simple approach, could shift better into contact and use that strong lower half, middle of the field approach with a line drive swing plane, has power that he isn't using yet with his approach. 7.57 runner, has sound actions defensively around the bag at first base. Good student.
