2015 PG Underclass All American Games
Max Sterner is a 2017 LHP/OF/1B with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Playa del Rey, CA who attends Culver City HS. Slender young build, projects well physically. Works from the stretch, very compact arm action, can get better extension out front on release. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, mostly straight. Change up best pitch, had good arm speed and some fading life. Curveball flashed good spin and depth at times when he was out front with it. Left handed hitter, has a loose swing with good projectability, gets the barrel out and hits pull side line drives. Big key in his development is getting stronger. Outstanding student.
