Joshua Trotter is a 2016 3B/1B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Jackson, MS who attends Forest Hill HS. Large frame with solid build throughout body; good strength profile. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.47 seconds. Hits with high, active hand set; some hand movement pre-swing. Upright stance with medium base, shows big leg kick timing mechanism. Swing path is generally upwards with intent to hit the ball into the air. Has good strength in swing and can generate solid bat speed, tries to go back up the middle consistently. Will unlock better jump off the barrel with better overall utilization of lower half in swing. Worked out defensively in the infield, showing clean hands at the ball to both forehand and backhand. Breaks down well and surrounds the baseball, extended transfer and overall arm action. Arm is clean as is release, throws across the diamond topped at 69 MPH.
