McDaniel Almanzar is a 2015 SS/2B with a 5-10 157 lb. frame from Bronx, NY who attends Bronx Community. Medium, wiry build with more room to fill out. Ran a 5.15 40 yard dash. Bats right-handed, works from an event setup and carries his hands high. Closes himself off at times but still pulls the ball well. Has a line drive swing path. Needs to be more consistent with swing mechanics. Flashes solid bat speed. Excellent swings in live action, ball jumps off his bat. Fields the ball out front in the infield and gets rid of the ball quickly. The arm strength is there and should continue to improve. Charges the ball hard. Named to Top Prospect List.
