Joseph Yupp is a 2017 C/OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Jupiter, FL who attends Cardinal Newman High School. Medium, athletic build with a frame that should handle additional weight and strength moving forward. Posted a 7.46 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, showed impressive footwork and a quick release with a top pop time of 1.94. At the plate, started with a medium base, high hand set, high back elbow with a quick bat. Drove the ball well with good present barrel feel and the ability to get to all fields with a line drive launch angle. Showed capability to turn the barrel with present strength and intent to drive the ball. Exceptional student.
