2015 Spring Top Prospect Showcase
Greg Anderberg is a 2016 C/IF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Ankeny, IA who attends Ankeny HS. Lean, athletic build with physical projection remaining on frame. Worked out well behind the plate. Athletic actions at the catcher position, short arm action with compact release on throws down to 2nd base, popped as quick as 2.07 seconds. Showed solid arm strength as well, registering 73 MPH. Switch hitter offensively, shows good hitting ability from both sides of the plate. Up the middle approach with consistent solid contact; slightly looser swing from left side of the plate with a bit more loft. Shifts into contact well from both sides, shows consistent ability to inside-out baseball and use opposite field, from both sides of the plate. Gets out of the box well and moves well down the line. Good student.
