DeVoss is a 6-5, 185 lb. 2006 outfielder from Sherman Oaks, California with a tall long frame. DeVoss has great body potential with his long arms and legs and should fill out nicely. DeVoss threw the ball well from the outfield in the workout throwing 84 mph with good carry. DeVoss throws with a short circle arm action with a loose arm. DeVoss starts in load position and is ready to hit when he steps in the box. He starts with a closed stance with a wide base. DeVoss also pitches, and throws with a longer arm action on the mound than in the field. DeVoss gets nice late sink on his fastball and throws a slow curveball that hitters had a difficult time handling. DeVoss throws strikes and is projectable. Real good student as well.
