Chhany Minton is a 2016 OF/IF with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Chestnut Hill, MA who attends Brookline. Medium, athletic build with a lean and projectable build, has room to fill out with additional strength throughout. Quick twitch, ran a 6.81 60-yard dash. Primary outfield, moves well and gets behind the ball, works through the ball, very short and compact arm action with a longer release, shows strength and accuracy to throws from an over the top arm slot. Right-handed hitter, starts with a high hand set away from the body with a wide stance. Small stride into contact, upper body swing with a line drive plane. Sound approach at the plate, stays short to the ball, uses hands throughout swing. Contact approach, occasionally opens front side, shows ability to hit to all fields. Good student.
