Hakim Williams is a 2017 RHP/OF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Lake Worth, FL who attends Park Vista Community HS. Large frame, long-limbed and athletic projectable pitcher's build. Priamry right handed pitcher, up-tempo delivery that can distract opposing hitters. Can occasionally get off-line, but does well to repeat mechanics and throw strikes. Works to a 3/4's arm slot, extended arm circle, works through quickly. Fasbtall up to 81 mph, shows some downhill plane and angle. Breaking ball has varied depth, flashes good tight spin and late break, keeps hitters off balance and is tough to pick up. Also flashed a changeup with slight fading action, competed well and kept hitters off balance. Also worked out in the outfield, is aggressive to the ball. Bends well and fields deep, stays down and works through the ball, up to 80 mph in defensive drills. Right handed hitter, high back elbow set. Front-side hitter, aggressive approach, flashes ability to get extended where strength shows up well. Good student.
