Carson Rugh is a 2018 SS/3B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Maitland, FL who attends Lake Highland Preparatory. Large frame with a lean, athletic build. Projects for additional size with strength. Ran a 7.15 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with smooth paced, deliberate footwork while surrounding the baseball. Fields the baseball from a slightly deeper position and works through transfer with clean exchanges. Released from a high three-quarters arm slot producing accurate, on line carry topping at 74 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and large leg lift trigger. Loose path to contact with a level, line drive barrel plane through extension. Primarily looks to work to contact out front and utilize a mid field approach. Flashed some strength at contact created hard line drive contact when on time and squared. Very good student.
