Juan Cristobal Morales is a 2014 LHP/1B with a 6-3 201 lb. frame from Yabucoa, PR who attends Ramon Quiñones Medina HS. Large build, some present strength. Leg raise delivery with some drift and drive to the plate, low 3/4's arm slot, some effort on release. Fastball topped at 82 mph, lots of velocity variance, effective with some running life when working down in the zone, tends to be flat and up frequently. Change up is best secondary pitch, should throw more often. Very soft curveball, tends to get under at release and float it in there. Good student.
