Connor Gage is a 2017 SS/RHP, IF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Talco, TX who attends Mt Pleasant HS. Good sized player who is physically mature and has a large frame. Athletic player that moves well laterally on the infield and quick instincts in the outfield. Made accurate throws defensively, had solid carry on throws and good arm strength getting up to 85 MPH from the outfield. At the plate, starts with a wide base, a high hand set, and a high back elbow. Line drive swing path that is short and quick to the baseball. Has lift in swing after contact and does a nice job of getting extended. Made hard pull side contact in games driving the ball deep on multiple occasions. Also pitched, threw from over the top and had long fluid arm action. Good presence on both the mound and in the batter's box. Good student. Named to Top Prospect List.
