Jake Lanferman is a 2014 OF/RHP with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Sherwood Park, AB who attends Bev Facey HS. Slender young build, room to get stronger. 7.06 runner, gets to the ball quickly in the outfield, high energy actions, compact arm action with a quick release and exaggerated crow hop, good arm strength with on line carry. Right handed hitter, open to closed approach, limited shift into contact, needs to get more directional towards contact, line drive swing plane, mid field contact, should improve with additional strength. Also pitched, over the top arm slot, works downhill off short stride. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, locates his fastball well, nice curveball with sharp 12/6 true downer break, good depth. Good sink on change up.
