Logan Crabtree is a 2017 SS/RHP, IF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Pittsboro, NC who attends Northwood. Medium-Large frame with quality athletic build throughout; projects well on body moving forward as well. Ran very well, posting a 6.80 seconds 60 yard dash time. Hits from relaxed stance with slight knee bend, narrow base, good stride forward into contact, simple swing and overall approach to hitting, line drive swing plane with quick hands, made consistent line drive contact to all fields. Showed good first step with quickness and athleticism in the IF, moved to ball well with range to both sides, fielded cleanly and showed quick release with solid arm strength up to 76 MPH across the diamond. Pitched as well, showing shorter arm action to mid 3/4 slot, throwing strikes consistently with FB and CB. FB worked 73-74; CB has 11/5 depth with solid spin, worked quickly and elicited weak contact consistently. Good student.
