Jack Lambert is a 2016 LHP/ with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Saint Charles, IL who attends St Charles North. Medium frame with an athletic build. On the mound shows a low 3/4 arm slot that works back across the top half. Drop and drive mechanics with a high energy tempo to the plate. Fastball has good arm side run ranging from 73-79 mph. Shorter slider with 3/8 shape with some tilt. Changes speeds with with slider which also creates varying tilt. Best slider was at high end of velo band, topped at 72 mph. Arm angle raised at times that created better downhill angle and direction with cleaner arm actions on all pitches. Hides the ball well with deceptive arm actions. Fastball and slider come from same keyhole. Flashed a straight changeup with slower arm acitons, topped at 71 mph. Throws strikes often and attacks hitters. Projects as a solid next level pitcher with continued physical maturity and mechanical fluidity. Good student.
