Gill is a strong corner infielder that has some power with the wood. He showed a strong swing and whipped his bat-head through the zone fast. Several balls went quickly to the wall in BP and he looked good. At third base he showed a nice glove, threw 74 mph across the infield and carried it over in game situations where he made some nice plays and showed that he can make a difference defensively. In the games he got pull happy but showed a good swing with bat-speed and earned a nice hit off an 86 mph fastball. He has corner infield power potential and can play 1B, if he needs to at the Division 1 Collegiate level.
