Bryant Bailey is a 2019 SS/OF with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Lancaster, TX who attends Red Oak High School. Very young player, lean, slender build with room to continue to fill out physically. Posted a 7.26 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, moved well to the ball, impressive footwork, athletic in the infield, ability to change slots and adjust on the fly. At the plate, started with a slightly open stance, deeper hand load, and a toe tap timing mechanism. Linear swing path through the zone, rotational at times, and an up the middle approach. Torqued well through lower half, additional rhythm and timing would help improve contact. Also pitched, used an up tempo delivery, short, compact arm circle, deception, and threw from an over the top arm slot. Generated good extension down the mound and mixed speeds well. Fastball worked 76-79 mph with short arm side life. Curveball at 63 mph that was kept low, flashed depth and developing sharpness. Outstanding student.
