Davis Jenks is a 2016 OF/LHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Crosby, TX who attends Crosby. Medium, athletic frame with a lean, projectable build and room to fill out with added strength. Ran a 7.49 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, sound athletic actions with very good mechanics, gets body behind the ball well and works through the ball. Quick arm with full arm action, has strength on throws with accuracy and gains ground with lower half half. Also pitched, works from a high three-quarter arm slot with a medium arm action in the back. Repeats delivery well, opens front side early on occasion, mixed three pitches nicely. Fastball topped at 78 mph, curveball shows short and sharp 12-6 life with depth and changeup has nice fade to arm side at 72 mph. Left-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a high hand set. Stays balanced through swing, keeps hands in on swing, line drive swing path and contact with extension out front. Gets to front foot early, consistent contact to pull side. Good student.
