Trevor Ponos is a 2017 OF/SS with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Scotts Valley, CA who attends Scotts Valley. Small immature frame, athletic young body with significant remaining development prior to maturity. Hits from an open upright setup in the box with a high hand set, moving parts cause late trigger at times, short compact swing with catch up bat speed, strength gains like to lead to increased bat speed, shows good hand-eye coordination and has a chance to develop well as a hitter. Good release time on outfield throws, arm projects, accurate throws from high arm slot. Good energy defensively in the infield, hands work okay, good release time on throws. Good student. Interesting young player to follow.
