AJ Koch is a 2016 2B/3B with a 5-7 158 lb. frame from Mill Creek, WA who attends Archbishop Murphy HS. Short compact athletic build. Right handed hitter, aggressive hitter who stands close to the plate and swings hard, gets the barrel out front from a low hand start, good swing plane, hard line drive contact, pull to mid field approach, sees the ball well and took good games swings. Polished actions in the infield, soft hands, has a quick first step and stays balanced, quick release with accurate throws. Sound fundamental player who plays hard and should continue to improve with additional strength. Good student.
