Michael Zequeira is a 2008 C/1B/3B with a 5'10'', 195 lb. frame from Plantation, Florida, who attends Pine Crest High School. Zequeira is a young player with a thick, strong, and stocky frame. He is a good target behind the plate showing good hands. He has the ability to block balls well from side to side. He recorder throwing velocities in the upper 60s with a best of 69. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from an average base and doesn't take a strike. There is raw strength in his swing and he gets leverage at the point of contact that gives him good power potential. He has bat speed through the hitting zone and he can drive the ball. Zequeira attacks pitches in the zone, and doesn't get cheated on his swing. He is a good student as well..
