Ryan Funk is a 2017 C/UT with a 5-11 205 lb. frame from Sisters, OR who attends Sisters HS. Strong build throughout medium-large frame; well-built and well-proportioned body. Posted a 7.85 seconds 60 yard dash. Showed good strength off the barrel when hitting, consistent bat path with quick hands, twitchy trigger on front side, turns the barrel well and gets it through the zone. Catches the ball out in front with the barrel and shows ability to barrel it up to all fields. Worked out defensively behind the plate. Wide, higher set with forward lean. Shows soft, sure hands when receiving throws. Long stride forward into release, gains ground well, quick release down to 2B with consistently accurate throws up to 70 MPH. Popped as low as 2.09 seconds. Named to 2015 Northwest Showcase Top Prospect List. Good student.
