Spencer Kennedy is a 2007 RHP/IF with a 5'11'', 170 lb. frame from Mill Valley, CA , who attends Tamalpais HS. Kennedy has a strong and athletic frame. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with minimal effort. He has solid arm action and his arm works well. Kennedy gets arm side run on his fastball that topped out at 79 mph, and occasionally gets sinking action as well. He also mixes in a sharp curveball at 63 mph and a 66 mph changeup with arm side fade. He sometimes slows his arm on his off-speed pitches, but he shows the ability to maintain arm speed on the pitches. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a straight away to slightly open stance. He has a good approach and stays on pitches well with good strike zone awareness. He gets his hands through the zone well with a balanced swing. Kennedy is also a good student.
