Ryan Scornaienchi is a 2008 OF/2B with a 5'10'', 160 lb. frame from Tracy CA, who attends Tracy HS. He has an average athletic body type, with some room to fill out in the coming years. As he does get stronger, his bat has a chance to really stand out at the college level. Scornaienchi is a good young hitter. His hands work well, his hips work well, resulting in an easy swing. He sprays line drives to all fields and has some extra base pop, particularly to the pull side, that should continue to evolve. In the field he is an accurate thrower with a good release that should allow him to get some outfield assists. He approaches the ball well. His arm strength is suited to left field, but does flash some carry. Scornaienchi can also play some at 2nd base. He is a good student and should develop into a solid college player.
