Emanuel Viramontes is a 2016 SS/RHP with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Nuevo, CA who attends Rancho Verde. Medium-large frame with strong, athletic present build. Hits from open stance with leg raise timing mechanism. Good hands to and through the zone with strength and bat speed, shows ability to get the ball in the air and drive it with solid jump off the barrel. Projects well defensively at 3B, showing solid first step quickness to both sides as well as clean fielding actions. Strong arm across the infield works well, throwing 84 MPH accurately to 1B. Pitched as well, slow wind up with medium-length arm action up to 3/4 slot with a bit of wrist wrap. FB worked 79-82 topping at 83 with good arm side run, throwing strikes consistently with the pitch. Showed an 11/5 CB with good depth, also flashed a harder slider with good sharpness and tilt. Threw a splitter with solid downer action as well. Good student.
