Jordan Art is a 2017 OF/RHP, 2B with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Jermyn, PA who attends Lakeland High School. Medium, athletic frame with a long and lean frame, projects well with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 6.99 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well to the ball with short steps, short arm action with effort at release, remains upright upon release, repeats actions and projects well with continued incorporation of lower half. Quick transfer on ground balls in the infield, gets rid of the ball and moves well ranging up the middle, full arm action on throws across with strength out of the hand. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow in the box. High leg lift trigger for timing and gets closed nicely on stride with a sound load. Line drive swing plane with ability to create contact to all fields, short path to the ball and keeps hands in on swing. Balanced swing and simple, repeatable mechanics, occasionally gets to front side early, can track the ball deep nicely. Good student.
