Ryan Martin is a 2017 2B/SS, OF with a 5-7 160 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends Mays. Medium, athletic frame with good projection remaining on frame. Ran 60 yard dash in 6.92 seconds. Hits from open stance with a leg lift timing mechanism, brings lower half well with good hip torque and leg drive, generates solid bat speed and strikes the ball cleanly out front. Will have more jump off the barrel with continued strength gains. Worked out defensively in both the IF and OF. Has athletic, twitchy actions in the outfield, comes in on the ball well, fielded cleanly and had quick release with arm strength up to 79 MPH. Waits back well on the ball in the IF, fields cleanly and made consistently accurate throws across the diamond up to 76 MPH. Very good student.
